How Consignment Works

A fixed, recurring 5-day auction cycle. Break customers skip the shipping wait since we already have your cards.

  1. Submit the Form

Every consignor completes our intake form — contact info, ACH details, and tax information. Required for both break customers and local drop-offs.

  2. Deliver Your Cards

We prep, photograph, and list your cards in our ongoing 5-day auction cycles on eBay. Listings are released on a rolling basis as they are processed.

  3. Listed on eBay

We prep, photograph, and queue your cards into the next 5-day auction cycle on eBay. Start Sunday, close Friday.

  4. Paid by Stripe

Auctions close throughout the week. Payouts are consolidated and issued via Stripe on our bi-weekly payment schedule.

Break customers: Because we already hold your cards from our own breaks, you skip the shipping and intake delays that traditional consignors face.

Seven points every consignor should read before submitting. Expand any section for the full language.

There are two ways to consign with Headline — both require completing the intake form first.

Break Customers
Submit your hits directly while you're breaking with us. We already have the cards in hand, so there's nothing to ship and no extra intake step.
Local Shop Drop-Offs
Bring your cards to our Tampa shop in person. We'll log your submission on the spot. We don't accept mail-in submissions right now.
  • Cards must have a minimum estimated resale value of $5 or more
  • Autographs, relics, numbered parallels, refractors, short prints, rookies, and graded cards are accepted
  • No veteran base cards or bulk commons
  • Bulk submissions must be pre-lotted and organized by sport
  • All cards must be in top loaders with no stickers or labels on holders
  • Autographs
  • Relic & Patch Cards
  • Numbered Parallels
  • Refractors & Chrome
  • Short Prints & Case Hits
  • Rookie Cards
  • Graded Cards (PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC)
  • Popular & Collectible Players

Every submission runs as a 5-day eBay auction. We list cards in the order we receive them — there's no fixed weekly cycle, and you don't have to wait for a batch to fill up.

Because we already hold cards from our own breaks, break customers skip the shipping and intake delays that traditional consignors face.

Every card is listed as an auction with a starting price set by our team based on current market value. Our job is to set the right starting point to attract bidders — from there, the market decides. We don't accept requests to change starting prices or convert to fixed-price listings.

Note

Headline cannot guarantee a specific sale price. Final sale prices are determined by what buyers bid. By submitting your cards you acknowledge that Headline is not liable for the price at which a card sells.

By submitting cards to the Headline consignment program, you authorize Headline to take full possession of those cards for the purpose of listing, marketing, storing, and selling them. While Headline does not claim ownership, all submitted cards are under the sole custody and control of Headline until they are sold or a retrieval is approved.

  • All consignment submissions are final. Once cards are received, they enter our active sales pipeline and may be listed, photographed, and displayed immediately.
  • Retrieval requests are subject to a $5 fee per card. A non-refundable $5 processing fee applies to each card requested. Retrieval is not guaranteed and is granted at Headline's sole discretion.
  • The customer is responsible for providing and paying for return shipping. Headline will not cover return shipping under any circumstances.
  • Headline is not responsible for cards lost, damaged, or delayed in return transit. Risk of loss transfers to the customer once the package is tendered to the carrier.
  • Cards already sold, listed in an active transaction, or committed to a buyer cannot be retrieved.
  • Retrieval requests must be submitted in writing. Verbal or informal requests will not be processed.
Acknowledgment

By submitting your cards, you acknowledge and agree to all terms outlined above. Headline reserves the right to deny any retrieval request at its sole discretion. This policy is subject to change — the version in effect at the time of your submission applies.

Once your 5-day auction closes and the buyer's payment settles, we send your payout via Stripe the following week — direct deposited to the bank account you verified during Stripe onboarding. We're not charging any consignment fees right now — during our beta period, you keep the full sale price minus the standard eBay marketplace fee.
