Submit Your Cards for Grading
Send your cards to PSA or CGC through Headline without the hassle. We handle the prep, shipping, insurance, and return — you just drop off at our Tampa shop or mail them in.
By submitting cards to Headline, you authorize us to prep and ship them to PSA or CGC on your behalf. Final grades and prescreen decisions are never guaranteed. Break customers: if a card looks unlikely to grade well, we may return it with your break purchase at our discretion — no guarantees either way.
Where Your Cards Get Graded
Trusted Third-Party Grading
Headline submits to the two most recognized grading companies in the hobby. Choose PSA or CGC when you fill out the submission form — we take care of the rest.

Our Process
How Grading Works
From the moment you submit to the moment you pick up your slabs — a simple, trackable process with automated updates along the way.
Submit
Fill out the submission form online or at our Tampa shop. Break customers can send hits straight from their break — no extra shipping required.
Pay
Pay through Shopify at submission. We don't start processing until payment clears — this covers grading fees, insured shipping, and return logistics.
Process
We prep, package, insure, and ship your cards to PSA or CGC. Turnaround begins when the grading company receives your submission.
Return
Graded cards come back to Headline. We inspect each one, photograph the slabs, and email you that your order is ready.
Fulfill
Pick up at our Tampa shop or have them shipped to you (shipping rates apply). No release without full payment on upcharges.
Turnaround times begin when the grading company receives your cards — not when you drop them off or mail them in. All estimates are set by PSA and CGC and may exceed original ETAs.
PSA Grading Rates
PSA Pricing & Turnaround
Pick the tier that fits your card's value and how fast you want it back. Dual grading adds autograph authentication for cards with a signature.
Turnaround times are estimates set by PSA and begin when PSA receives your cards. Shipping and insurance costs are added to each order. Upcharges may apply if a card's declared value exceeds the tier's max.
CGC Grading Rates
CGC Pricing & Turnaround
CGC offers fast turnaround at competitive prices. Pick the tier that fits your card's value. Add autograph authentication to any tier that supports it.
Pricing shown is Headline's current CGC submission rates as an authorized partner. Turnaround times are estimates set by CGC and begin when CGC receives your cards. Shipping and insurance are added to each order.
The Fine Print
Policies & Disclaimers
Everything you should know before submitting cards to Headline. By submitting, you agree to all of the following.
Turnaround Times Are Estimates
All turnaround times are estimates set by PSA and CGC at their discretion. Some orders may exceed the original ETA. Headline cannot control or guarantee grading company timelines.
Turnaround Starts On Receipt
Turnaround timers begin when PSA or CGC receives your submission from Headline — not when you drop off, mail in, or submit the form. Prep, sorting, and bulk shipment may add time.
Shipping & Insurance
Shipping costs are added to every order to cover insured transit to the grading company and the return trip. Shipping fees are calculated at submission based on the declared value of your cards.
Grading Company Upcharges
Upcharges from PSA or CGC may apply when a card's sale value exceeds the declared value at submission. Extra insurance is required on the return leg. Headline passes these charges directly to customers.
PSA Premium Tiers
PSA offers four premium grading levels for cards valued above $9,999. Headline's highest PSA tier is Walkthrough — customers with cards above that threshold may be subject to additional upcharges. Email grading@shopwithheadline.com before submitting high-value cards.
No Processing Without Payment
Cards are not prepped or shipped to the grading company until your submission payment clears. Upcharges discovered in transit must be paid in full before cards are released back to the customer.
No Card Cleaning
Headline does not clean, wipe, or touch cards submitted for grading. Your cards are shipped exactly as they are provided. Submit in penny sleeves and card savers — thicker items in top loaders or MAGs.
Break Customer Discretion
For cards pulled from Headline breaks: if a card appears unlikely to grade well, we may return it with your break purchase at our discretion rather than submitting it. We do not guarantee prescreen outcomes and do not guarantee a card will be graded if submitted.
No Refunds On Ungradeable Cards
PSA and CGC may not provide refunds or credits on cards they determine to be altered, ungradeable, or inauthentic. Headline cannot refund grading fees once the card is in the grading company's possession.
Pickup vs. Ship Back
Graded cards can be picked up at our Tampa shop or shipped to you at your cost. Cards are not released until full payment of any outstanding upcharges is made.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about submitting cards for PSA or CGC grading through Headline.
How long does it take to grade a card?
Turnaround times are estimates set by PSA and CGC, not by Headline. The clock starts when the grading company receives your submission — not when you drop off, mail in, or submit the form. Prep, sorting, and bulk shipping from Headline typically adds about a week on top of the grading company's published turnaround.
Some orders may exceed original estimates. Check the PSA Rates and CGC Rates tables above for the current turnaround ranges by tier.
How do I submit cards to Headline for grading?
Three ways:
In person: Drop off at our Tampa shop with a completed submission form. Cards must be in penny sleeves and card savers (top loaders or MAGs for thicker items). Don't include air tags or original letters of authentication — photocopies only.
Mail in: Fill out the form online, send your payment, and ship cards to our Tampa address.
From a Headline break: If you pulled a hit from a Headline break, we already have the card. Complete the submission form for the hit you want graded and we'll route it to our next grading shipment — no extra shipping on your end.
How much does grading cost?
See the PSA Rates and CGC Rates tables above for our current submission prices by tier. Your total includes the grading company's fee, Headline's prep and handling, and insured shipping to and from the grading company.
Upcharges from the grading company may apply if a card's sale value ends up higher than the declared value at submission — those are passed through to the customer and must be paid before the card is released back to you.
Does Headline clean or prep cards before submitting?
No. Headline does not clean, wipe, buff, or touch your cards before submission. They're shipped to PSA or CGC exactly as you deliver them to us.
Make sure your cards are already in penny sleeves and card savers before dropping off or mailing in. Thicker cards (relics, autos, memorabilia) should be in top loaders or MAGs.
How do I get my cards back after grading?
You have two options:
Pickup: Collect your graded cards at our Tampa shop (13036 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa FL 33618). Hours are Mon–Fri 11AM–7PM and Sat–Sun 10AM–6PM. We'll email you when your order is ready.
Ship back: We can ship your graded cards to you insured at your cost. Shipping rates are calculated based on the declared value and destination.
Cards are not released until any outstanding upcharges or return shipping fees are fully paid.
Why did I get an upcharge on my order?
Upcharges are applied by PSA or CGC when a card's actual sale value exceeds the declared value you selected at submission. The grading company requires additional insurance on the return leg for higher-value cards, and those costs are passed through to customers.
If you're unsure of a card's value before submitting, pick the nearest tier above your estimate. For cards over $9,999 declared value, email grading@shopwithheadline.com before submitting — PSA's premium tiers may apply.
Can I grade hits pulled from Headline breaks?
Yes — this is one of the biggest advantages of consigning or ripping with us. Since we already have your card in hand after your break, you skip the packaging and shipping hassle entirely.
Just fill out the grading submission form specifying which hit (or hits) from your break you want graded. Your card goes into our next scheduled PSA or CGC shipment. You pay the submission fees through Shopify and we handle everything else.
What if my card doesn't look like it will grade well?
For cards pulled from Headline breaks: if a card appears unlikely to grade well (heavy damage, obvious defects), we may return it with your break purchase at our discretion instead of submitting it.
This isn't a guaranteed prescreen service — we don't promise to catch every card that won't grade, and we don't promise a card we submit will receive any specific grade. Final grades are always at the discretion of PSA or CGC.
What payment methods do you accept?
All grading submissions are paid through Shopify at submission. We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Your submission is not processed or shipped to the grading company until payment clears.
Do you accept mail-in submissions from outside Florida?
Yes. Submit the form online, pay through Shopify, and ship your cards insured to our Tampa shop at 13036 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa FL 33618. Include a copy of your submission confirmation in the package.
You can choose to pick up your graded cards in Tampa or have them shipped back to you at your cost.
