This Buying Policy explains how Headline buys sports cards, trading cards, and other collectibles from customers. "Headline," "we," "us," and "our" mean 3Point Precision LLC, doing business as Headline and The Locker by Headline. By offering an item to us for purchase, you agree to this policy.
What we buy
Headline selectively purchases sports cards, trading cards, and other collectibles based on current market demand, condition, liquidity, grading potential, and resale opportunity.
Items must be authentic and in acceptable condition. Cards should be appropriately protected (for example, sleeved and in a top loader or card saver) when possible, and may be declined for damage, authenticity concerns, low market demand, or other condition issues.
How offers work
All offers are made at Headline's discretion and may vary based on the item, current market conditions, and the resale channel we expect to use. Our standard offers are:
- Cash: up to 70% of market value
- Store credit: up to 75% of market value
"Market value" is Headline's good-faith estimate at the time of the offer, based on sources such as recent comparable sales. It is an estimate, not a guarantee, and it can differ from prices you may see elsewhere. Trading cards and collectibles fluctuate in value, and an offer reflects the market at the moment it is made. Offers are valid only at the time they are given unless we say otherwise in writing, and we may withdraw or revise an offer before the transaction is completed.
Condition is evaluated by Headline staff at the time of the offer. Unless we specifically say otherwise, condition assessments are our opinion, and grading potential is never guaranteed.
Not every item will qualify
Not every item will qualify for purchase. Headline reserves the right to decline any item or collection for any reason. For items we do not purchase directly, we may be able to recommend alternative options such as consignment or our Value Card Buyback program.
Ownership and authenticity
By selling to Headline, you confirm that you are the legal owner of the item, that it is authentic to the best of your knowledge, that it is not stolen, counterfeit, altered, or subject to any lien or claim, and that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live). We may ask for a valid government-issued ID and may keep a record of the transaction as required by law. We may decline or cancel any purchase where we cannot verify ownership or authenticity.
If an item we purchased later turns out to be counterfeit, altered, stolen, or materially misrepresented, you agree to refund the amount we paid and reimburse any related costs, and we may pursue any other remedies available to us.
Cash vs. store credit
Cash offers may be paid by cash, check, or electronic payment at our discretion, and large cash payouts may require advance notice. Store credit is issued to your Headline account as Shopify store credit, spendable online at shopwithheadline.com and in store at The Locker by Headline. Store credit terms are in our Terms of Service.
Final once completed
Once you accept an offer and payment or store credit has been issued, the sale is final. Items we purchase become Headline property and cannot be reclaimed, exchanged, or repurchased unless we agree in writing.
Mail-in offers
If you mail items to us for an offer, they are your responsibility until we receive them. Use tracked and insured shipping. If you decline our offer, we will return your items at your cost using the return shipping method we agree on. Items left with us for more than 30 days after we ask you to decide may be treated as abandoned.
