A card from the PSA/FedEx heist appears to have sold on eBay

The first stolen PSA slab may already be back on the market. On Monday afternoon, the X account Boston Card Hunter posted a screenshot of a sold eBay listing for a 2025 Topps Finest Victor Wembanyama #98 Purple Refractor /250, graded PSA 9, and said it is one of the cards taken in the PSA/FedEx theft. The cert number on the label matched an entry on PSA's list of stolen items.

In a follow-up post, he said he had been asked not to share the listing link so it would not get in the way of the investigation. The sale price, the seller and whether eBay has acted on the listing have not been made public, and PSA has not commented on this specific card.

The theft itself became public over the weekend, when PSA published a list of 6,451 items stolen from a FedEx truck after they left its Santa Ana facility. PSA deactivated every cert number on the list, which means those slabs no longer verify in PSA's cert lookup. The FBI is investigating.

Why collectors should care: if this report holds up, it is the first stolen slab seen being resold, less than a week after the theft. Deactivated certs are the main protection buyers have. Before paying for any PSA slab right now, enter the cert number at PSA's verification page; a deactivated cert is a red flag no matter how the listing looks.

This story is developing. The eBay sale is a single-source report and has not been confirmed by PSA or eBay.
