Rumor: the PSA/FedEx theft happened 50 to 75 meters from PSA's loading dock, and police took about 2.5 hours to respond

Two unconfirmed claims about the PSA/FedEx theft: that the truck was hit within sight of PSA's facility, and that the police response took close to two and a half hours.

Unconfirmed. Two claims about how the PSA/FedEx theft happened circulated over the weekend. Boston Card Hunter wrote Sunday evening that he was "hearing now from two sources that the PSA / FedEx theft occurred approximately 50-75 meters from PSA's loading dock," adding that he was still working to verify the exact location.

Separately, the Sports Cards Nonsense podcast had a law-enforcement veteran review the dispatch report and said it "reportedly" took nearly 2.5 hours for police to respond.

Neither claim has been confirmed by PSA, FedEx or the Santa Ana Police Department. What is confirmed: PSA says 6,451 items were stolen from a FedEx truck after leaving its facility, every cert on the list has been deactivated, and the FBI is investigating.

Why collectors should care: the location and the response time go to the question every submitter is asking, which is how a shipment this size was exposed. We will update when any of the parties comment.
